STAVANGER, Norway – Noreco says a well could start drilling late this year or early 2014 on the Gita South prospect in the Danish North Sea.
Xana-1X would be drilled on the 9/95 Maja license.
In neighboring license 7/86, the company and its partners are evaluating data on the Amalie discovery to determine a next-phase work program later this year.
In the southern Norwegian North Sea, Noreco is a partner in the DONG-operatedOselvar field, where production remains lower than originally planned. The company says work is under way to understand the reason for the continuing weak performance and to identify potential improvement measures.
